Sam Hart has been bringing his favorite images from horror films to life with laser disc-inspired cinemagraphs complete with fresh back cover copy so you can bask in the throw back glory.

A laser disc-style cover for the film "A Nightmare on Elm Street" featuring a teenager's bedroom with a hole in the center of the bed. From the hole gushes a waterfall of blood shooting upward toward the ceiling.

Nightmare on Elm Street – Loser Disco 1986 (ex rental purchased from PJ’s Video)

Nancy Thompson and her friends are being stalked in their sleep by a murder seeking revenge. Hellbent on hunting the teenagers down – this dream demon will not rest until he has dished out his violent and cruel brand of retribution. Featuring a hot young cast (Heather Langencamp, Amanda Wyss and introducing Johnny Depp) the line between dreams and reality starts to blur when the bodies begin to pile up. But dreams can’t kill you… can they?

From the mind of Wes Craven (Last House on the Left, The Hills Have Eyes),  A Nightmare on Elm Street is a caffeinated jolt to the heart of any horror hound in need of a sleepless night.
